Paul is possibly the only American basketball coach who has won 3 three consecutive National Championships and Coach of the Year in a foreign professional basketball league. From 2008 to 2019, he coached first and second division professional basketball in the Liberian Basketball Association (LBA) Liberia, West Africa, compiling a record of 171-41. Coaching in Federation of International Basketball (FIBA) sanctioned leagues and competitions against teams from the United States, Ghana, Nigeria, Gabon, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Egypt, Ivory Coast and Guinea.
