Training/Camp Registration

The Alabama Basketball Institute is the leading player training and development company on the Gulf Coast. ABI's European player development approach ensure players learn the skills required to become complete and how to effectively use their skill to make themselves and their teammate better.

The first day of Middle School and Jr. High basketball practice is September 18th and the season starts on October 5th. The summer is the time to improve your game. On October 5th, will you start or come off the bench? Will you come off the bench or not play at all? Did you try out and not make the team?

ABI offers numerous year-round training opportunities for 3rd to 8th grade players.

Modular Sessions: Mod-1 Youth, Mod-2 Skill, Mod-3 Foundation, Mod-4 Advance

Training Options: 1 on 1, Semi Private (2-6 Players), 1 on 1

Summer Camps: Level-3 Basic Offense and Defense, Level-4 Scoring, Level-5 2 and 3 Player Actions

Summer Offense System and Man Defense Schemes: Read and React and Dribble Drive Motion

3rd thru 8th Grades Training Groups

ABI is now offering 3rd and 8th grade training group sessions. Our effort is to start teaching young players basketball movements, skills, mechanics and techniques before they develop poor habits. If your child enjoys the game or you would like your son or daughter to systematically learn the game, please join us.

ABI offers year round training sessions. clinics and summer camps from June 19 to July 27th.

Travel Team

If you are or know of rising 6th, 7th or 8th graders interested in improving and playing basketball this summer, join the Alabama Basketball Institute (ABI) Spartans. The team(s) will compete in the following Panhandle Basketball Events.

  • 3rd Annual Adidas Invitational June 10th & 11th Foley, AL
  • 10th Annual Primetime Nationals July 7th & 8th Mobile, AL
  • 15th Annual End of Summer Showdown July 28th-30th Pensacola, FL

Training sessions are conducted all day Saturdays and weekday evenings. Teams are selected from the players in the training sessions.

Curriculum

ABI Summer Basketball Program is a series of clinics designed to improve each student-athlete's skill set, understanding, decision making and, most important, CONFIDENCE. ABI's modular course design seamlessly flows from clinic to clinic.

Our approach to teaching basketball is unrevealed outside of Europe. Sessions are limited to 12 players in an effort to expose each player to a team atmosphere and dynamic. Ultimately we are interested in confidence building.

Courses

Scoring: Cutting, Driving and Shooting (Level IV Offense and Defense)

2 and 3 Player Action (Level V Offense and Defense)

Read and React 5 out Offense

Dribble Drive Motion (DDM) Offense

Space is very limited (Only 12 spaces per session)

$150.00 per session for members

$200.00 per session for non members
